Shaw End Mansion

Shaw End is a popular venue for corporate events; family occasions such as reunions, special Birthdays, Anniversaries and, of course, largest of all, Weddings. The house can sleep up to eighteen guests. The ground floor of the house can be arranged to seat guests to dinner or a buffet and the large hall is a useful area for entertainment or for dancing.

Wedding Venue

The whole house can be booked for a wedding and is a suitable venue for a small event of up to 60 guests.  For larger events of up to 120 guests, a marquee would be required.

The house can be booked for a minimum of two nights (three nights for a Wedding) out of the main holidays seasons and is very popular with large groups booking the whole house for a weekend away. 



The gardens to the side of Shaw End are large enough to accommodate a marquee and extra toilet facilities.



Extra parking can be arranged in the field at the front of the house.



Guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery either from the comfort of the house and gardens or with a stroll down the field to the river and woods. The level banks of the river in front of the house make it a perfect spot for a grand family picnic, barbeque or even a hog roast!

Corporate Events

The house can sleep up to eighteen guests and can be converted to the ideal corporate venue. The ground floor of the house can be arranged to seat guests for a conference, to dinner or a buffet, and the large hall is a useful area for meetings, entertainment or events.

Family Occasions

Shaw End is ideal as a location for family gatherings such as birthdays, family reunions and anniversaries. The house can be set up to suit events for up to 60 guests.

Film Location

Shaw End together with it's Coach House and clock tower, and our various traditional Lakeland farm buildings, are also perfect for film locations.
