We have been incredibly fortunate so far this year to have escaped the flooding and damage suffered in many parts of the country. We were greeted one morning, however, to this sight after severe winds struck the area. Looking over the river to Shaw End we were saddened to see the noticeable gap in the skyline left by this giant beech tree planted over 200 years ago.
